I wanted to have something for kids on my pages, so I've made pen-and-ink sketches you can print out and colour. Not very many yet, but here's what I've done so far:
A Chipmunk The pansies in the original photo were light and dark purple, but they come in lots of colours and you can use your imagination.
Cardinal The berries in the background were red.
Great Blue Heron These birds are grey-blue. The underside is lighter than the top.
Most of these might be a bit hard for younger children to colour. I'll try to put some simpler drawings up soon.
